Harpoon Brewery in South Boston is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in style! This Friday March 7 and Saturday March 8, Harpoon Brewery is hosting its annual St. Patrick’s Day festival. The event is complete with live music, good food, great beer, and is certain to be a good time for all. Go taste all of the fantastic beers on tap and enjoy some first-class entertainment. See a complete list of the bands that will be performing here. The cover charge is $20 and includes one beer ticket.
Harpoon festivals have become Boston staples over the years and St. Patrick’s Day is one of the best. Because of the popularity, however, long lines stretching around the block are common. Make sure you plan ahead and beat the rush. Here are some helpful hints:
- Get there early! : This is the most important piece of advice. The line is generally minimal if you show up close to the opening time. If you get there much later than that, expect a wait.
- Arrange transportation beforehand : There will be no parking at the brewery for the festival. Shuttles will be running from South Station, or consider having Webbtrans.com give you a lift.
- Become a “Friend of Harpoon” : There is a VIP line specifically for Friends of Harpoon and one guest. Depending on the time you arrive this can save you quite a headache, but if you show up late even this line can get quite long.
The schedule is:
Fri, March 7 — 5:30 – 11:00
Sat, March 8 — 2:00 – 9:00
