Gillette Stadium Renovations
Gillette Stadium underwent some major renovations over that last year. Some of the new features include upgraded concourse and fan areas to offer expanded seating options, improved concessions, and reduced wait times. The updates also included a premium club with upscale dining, improved luxury suites, and new event spaces for fans and corporate guests. A massive 22,000-square-foot video board was installed, which is the largest outdoor stadium video board in the U.S. It provides higher-quality visuals, improving the in-game experience. The iconic lighthouse at the north end of the stadium was replaced with a much larger, 218-foot-tall version. The new lighthouse features an observation deck offering 360-degree views of the surrounding area.
Changes on the Field
On the field, the Patriots experienced some major overhaul as well. After over 20 years of Bill Belichick steering the ship in Foxboro, Jerod Mayo takes over the helm and enters his first year as the head coach of the New England Patriots. Mayo, a former impact player and Patriots’ captain himself, looks to usher in a new era of Patriots’ football. A familiar face will start the year under center as the Patriots’ brought back veteran QB Jacoby Brissett in the off-season. His knowledge, competitive drive, and leadership should provide steady direction for Drake Maye, the 2024 3rd overall draft pick and hopeful quarterback of the future.
